Seems a little too eager to see your work. I mean, I get that it might be a good opening for conversation but

Exactly! I responded why was he so curious? and if he was hiring me for freelance, then I would show him my work, but that’s all he is talking about. I get it, you are a designer, so I am. Whoop-De-Do…

"I'm a desinger!" OkCupid Edition

The Designer: Hey, could I see some of your design work? I'm a designer too.
Me: Really? What kind of designing do you like to do?
The Designer: Mostly print but I do a little bit of everything. Would you like to see my work?
The Designer: What kind of design do you do?
Me: I work at a creative agency, so I do everything from branding to app design. Nothing too exciting.
The Designer: Its exciting to me..I'm a designer lol
The Designer: Can I see some of your work?
He really wants to see my work... Unless you are hiring me for freelance or buying one of my pieces, why do you want to see my work?!

Ah, I don’t know, that view could get boring after awhile…

Finally getting back into the running game. I haven’t been for the last 8 months because I wanted to focus on graduation and getting a job before I graduated. (Which I did! High Five!) Now moving to the city I now have the time to enjoy running again, but I was struggling to find the motivation to actually go outside and run. Personally it’s so hard to by myself because for the past 10 years, where I was running everyday, I was on highly competitive team, high school and college, (eh not so much middle school). I always had people there at practice waiting for me to show up, which helps you get out of bed on those cold mornings. Now it’s just me, so to change that I joined the New York Road Runners club and I signed up and paid for classes. (There is no way that I will skip a class if I had to PAY for it!) To give myself a goal to run towards, I also signed up for the Staten Island Half. I have always trained for 5ks and those were my races, so to try a new and longer distance for a race kind of scares me. Even thought I had many 14 mile long runs in college, this is different, I’m not goofing off with my teammate around savannah, I’m actually training to race a 1:45 half. I went to my first NYRR class last week and got my butt kicked and that was the wake up call to show me how out of shape I was. I have been eating so many horrible things, I have lost all of my leg muscles from running for so long and gotten fat. It’s hard to look at myself sometimes because I know there is a skinnier version of myself that needs to be shown.

It’s time to step it up and get fit.

Let’s run!

( paintnpavement and buffbones how do you get those perfect mirror selfies?! Teach me your ways!)

Not a bad view for my run today. I could get used to this. #ExploringNYC (at Brooklyn Bridge Park)
